The publisher of Ovation Newspaper Magazine, Dele Momodu, has refuted social media reports, alleging the death of Nigerian billionaire and owner of Globacom, Mike Adenuga.
Mr Adenuga, who is among the richest persons in Africa, was alleged to have died at the age of 71.
However, in a post on his X handle, Mr Momodu, who is a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, described the report as fake.
He said Mr Adenuga is alive, fit, and proper.
He added that he had a telephone conversation with the businessman, who mentioned he is still an active stakeholder in the Nigerian economy.
The politician said: “Ignore the fake news… The Spirit of Africa DR MICHAEL ADENIYI AGBOLADE ISOLA ADENUGA is hale and hearty.
“He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy… He just called me to thank everyone for their concern…” – DELE MOMODU.”
