Manchester United still undecided on Mason Greenwood

Manchester United is still yet to decide on the future of embattled youngster Mason Greenwood, waiting on the verdict of new minority shareholder INEOS, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano revealed this in a post on X today.

Greenwood was sent on loan to Getafe after the charges of domestic violence by his girlfriend Harriet Robson were dropped. The Man United hierarchy has been turning over the decision to either bring him back into the fold or accept bids for a permanent transfer away.

Robson released audio and picture evidence of Greenwood’s abuse, forcing an investigation open, but she later dropped the charges. Greenwood denied the allegations.

The decision on Greenwood’s future will be made by INEOS.

The 22-year-old has netted eight times and assisted five times in 26 games for Getafe in all competitions. Man United’s attacking woes this season may be factored into the decision-making process, with the Manchester club having only scored 39 goals in 28 games this season, making them the lowest scorers in the top-12.
