Liverpool suffers further setback in title race, drops points at West Ham

Jurgen Klopp was frustrated again at full time when Liverpool came out from the London stadium with just one point, having failed to beat West Ham United.

Klopp’s men found themselves behind in the 43rd minute when Jarrod Bowen scored a header. They almost immediately responded in the 48th minute with a goal of their own to put the game level.

Liverpool then took the lead for the first time in the game, scoring in the 65th minute through an Alphonse Areola own goal, but West Ham refused to be beaten, tying the game in the 77th minute with a Michail Antonio goal.

This draw puts Liverpool now five points behind Arsenal with the same number of games, and four points behind Man City, who has a game in hand on the Reds.
