Kelechi Iheanacho weighing offers after Sevilla exit

Celtic lead race with two-year deal on the table
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is officially a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Sevilla on transfer deadline day — and interest is heating up fast.
Scottish champions Celtic are currently frontrunners in the race, having already sent Iheanacho a two-year contract offer and are reportedly eager for a quick response.
Turkish clubs also in the mix
According to Nigerian sports journalist Buchi Laba, two unnamed Turkish clubs are also trying to land the 27-year-old forward. But negotiations over personal terms have stalled, giving Celtic an edge.
“100% confirmed: Celtic were in negotiations with Sevilla for Kelechi Iheanacho before his contract was mutually terminated and now they have sent him a contract of 2 years as a free agent!!! They want an answer ASAP,” Buchi wrote on X.
No rush to decide
Despite the interest, sources say Iheanacho isn’t rushing into a decision. After a rollercoaster few seasons with Leicester City and a brief spell at Sevilla, the Nigerian international is said to be weighing his options carefully to make the right move for his career.
