Kaduna will deliver highest Northern votes for APC in 2027 – Abbas

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has pledged that Kaduna State will deliver the highest number of votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Northern Nigeria during the 2027 elections.
Speaking in Kaduna on Thursday, Abbas reassured President Bola Tinubu of the state’s continued crucial role in Nigeria’s political landscape. He emphasized that Governor Uba Sani and local APC leaders are committed to securing strong support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Abbas dismissed the influence of former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who recently allied with opposition forces aiming to unseat Tinubu and had declared that Tinubu cannot win the 2027 presidential election.
Highlighting Kaduna’s political and economic significance, Abbas noted that although the APC secured just over 30 percent of votes in the state during the 2023 elections, there is substantial room for growth. He attributed the confidence in 2027’s outcome to the federal government’s ongoing infrastructure projects in Kaduna under Tinubu’s administration.
“Kaduna has no reason to vote anyone else in 2027,” Abbas declared, stressing that continued commitment from the presidency will translate into strong electoral support.
