Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, has died after losing an eight-year battle with cancer.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed this in a post on X on March 2.
The X post said “We are sad to hear of the passing of former @NGSuper_Falcons
goalkeeper Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, after an eight-year battle with cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May her gentle soul rest in peace”
Aluko-Olaseni, in addition to playing for Nigeria, also played for Nigeria Women Premier League clubs Rivers Angels and Sunshine Queens.
