Steven Gerrard set to return to Anfield for charity match against Chelsea

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is set to make a return to the Anfield pitch on March 22 for a charity match, where he will renew his rivalry with Chelsea. Gerrard will team up with former teammates, including Peter Crouch, for the special event.

The 44-year-old midfielder, who has been away from management since leaving Al-Ettifaq in January, will be back in a familiar setting after a challenging spell in Saudi Arabia, where his former team struggled in 12th place.

Gerrard will be joined by fellow ex-Liverpool stars Sami Hyypia, Martin Skrtel, Dirk Kuyt, and Crouch, as they take part in a match aimed at raising funds for charity. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Chelsea Foundation, with a focus on supporting the Chelsea Players’ Trust.

Fans of both clubs can look forward to seeing some of their beloved former players back on the field for a good cause.
