ADC presents Osun candidates for Senate, House of Representatives and Assembly
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has presented its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and state House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed on Monday by Publicity Secretary Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, the party asked residents to take note of the slate and support it at the polls. It named candidates for the three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and all 26 state Assembly seats.
For the Senate, Akeem Olaoye will contest Osun Central, Senator Adelere Oriolowo Osun West and Babatunde Olaniyi Loye Osun East. In the House of Representatives the party listed Akinlabi Olusegun (Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro), Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi (Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin), Taofeek Arogundade (Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun), Tajudeen Ajagbe (Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo), Gbenga Ogunkanmi (Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire), Bolarinwa Ibraheem (Irewole/Isokan), Sikiru Ayedun (Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South), Olowu Sunday (Obokun/Oriade) and Ajibola E. Oladimeji (Ijesa South).
The Assembly list covers every constituency in the state, from Ifedayo, Ila and Boluwaduro through the Ede, Ife and Ilesa seats to Oriade and Obokun. The party said it was confident the candidates offered a new opportunity for quality representation and purposeful leadership.
A full slate is an organisational statement: the ADC is not contesting a handful of high-profile seats but the entire federal and state map in Osun. Whether that breadth becomes a campaign advantage depends on how widely the names are known at ward level and whether the party can fund and coordinate 38 separate races. Presentation of candidates is the start of that work, not the finish.
