Flutterwave hires Dipo Fatokun, Tosin Faniro Dada to board

Flutterwave has made two major appointments to its boardroom, bringing in former CBN Director Dipo Fatokun as it’s new chairman, and Tosin Faniro-Dada.

Fatokun has over 30 years of banking and finance experience in the public and private sectors. As a CBN Director, he coordinated major projects including the Cashless Nigeria Initiative (CNI) and the Bank Verification Number (BVN) projects. He also automated foreign currency payments of the Central Bank.

Nigerians can expect him to bring his expertise to Flutterwave, in order to help the fintech company meet the highest regulatory, compliance, and governance standards.

Tosin Faniro-Dada, the second appointee, has been brought in as an independent, non-executive director at Flutterwave

Faniro-Dada is well-known in the tech industry and has 17 years of top-of-the-line experience in corporate banking, finance, and investment management. She began auditing funds at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Boston and is now a Partner at a VC fund in Europe and Africa, named Breega.

Faniro-Dada’s expertise and passion will help Flutterwave continue to be a game changer for Nigerian startups.

Flutterwave has been making big moves recently, hiring six new executives from companies like Cash App, Paypal, and Western Union just three months ago.
