Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, Popular filmmaker and former Vice President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), is dead.
Vaughan passed away in Warri, Delta State, on Tuesday, April 2, after battling with an undisclosed illness.
The President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, Dr. Victor Okhai, confirmed the devastating news to Vanguard in a telephone call.
“Yes, he died yesterday, but I’m yet to get the details of his death,” Okhai said.
Vaughan played a vital role in shaping the Nigerian movie industry and mentoring aspiring film professionals and practitioners.
He was a seasoned TV producer/director and director, as well as a current affairs and political analyst.
Vaughan, who was born in the 1960s, was a pastor at Dominion City Church, Asaba, Delta State.
