Donald Trump says no to a third debate with Kamala Harris
On Thursday, September 12, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will not participate in another debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.
“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!,” Trump declared in all caps on Truth Social. This statement refers to the previous debate with President Joe Biden in June, which he counted as the first debate, and the second debate with Harris that took place earlier this week.
Harris’ campaign had suggested another debate right after their recent matchup.
However, Trump mentioned on Wednesday during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” that he would “probably” not agree to another debate with the network.
On Thursday, Trump confirmed his decision to skip a third debate with Harris. He cited what he described as a clear victory in the recent debate, which many felt favored Harris.
“When a prizefighter loses a fight, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘I WANT A REMATCH,’” Trump wrote in his post.
