Nigerian comedian and skitmaker Oga Sabinus has revealed reasons behind his love for singer Davido, stressing his refusal to entertain any criticism of the musician in his presence.
Sabinus explained that Davido’s endorsement significantly boosted his visibility when he shared one of his comedy skits on social media.
Expressing his gratitude, Sabinus recounted how Davido not only acknowledged his message but also extended a generous offer of two million naira to enable the improvement of his skits through better equipment.
He said; “You can’t stand beside me and say something negative about Davido. I won’t let you. Even my woman knows. We have a portrait of Davido in our living room. After over a decade of being an underground comedian, Davido was the first big artiste who showed me love.
“He shared a video of him watching my skits on his Instagram handle. I messaged him to express gratitude and he sent two million naira to get good equipment and start shooting high quality skits. God Bless him forever.”
