Chris Brown declares Wizkid his brother for life
American superstar Chris Brown has expressed his deep gratitude for Nigerian artist Wizkid, calling him his “brother for life.”
In a heartfelt post shared on social media, Brown highlighted Wizkid’s kindness and support, particularly during a pivotal moment in his career.
Chris Brown recounted how he had spent years performing across America but had never set foot in the UK until Wizkid invited him to perform at his O2 Arena concert in 2021.
He shared that Wizkid not only extended the invitation but also covered all his expenses, which left him truly amazed by the gesture.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in 10 years. I had been performing all around America and had not gone there for any show before.
“One day, Wiz called and told me he was getting everything set for me to come to his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was wowed. Wizkid is my brother for life,” Brown said.
It’s worth noting that Chris Brown faced a ban from the UK in 2009 due to a conviction for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. This ban affected his ability to perform in the country for several years.
