Chelsea winger scores winner for his country

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk scored the winning goal for Ukraine in their EUROS 2024 qualifier against Iceland.

The game was left in the balance after Iceland’s Albert Gudmundsson scored the opening goal in the 30th minute and Ukraine’s Viktor Tsygankov scored the equalizer in the 54th minute.

It was eventually decided by Mudryk in the 84th minute to the relief of Ukraine fans, sending the war-torn country to the Euros.

Mudryk has also been coming up with the goods for his club Chelsea, as he has scored the fifth most goals in all competitions for the west London club this season, despite mostly playing as a substitute.
