Chelsea gets revenge on West Ham, wins 5-0 in London derby

Chelsea was ruthless as it welcomed David Moyes’s West Ham United to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, May 5. Mauricio Pochettino’s men came out 5-0 victors on the day.

Chelsea recorded its second clean sheet in a row for the first time in the league this season.

Cole Palmer, unsurprisingly, gave Chelsea the lead in the 19th minute for his 21st goal of the season. Conor Gallagher volleyed in Chelsea’s second goal in the 30th minute. Noni Madueke scored the Blues’ third goal six minutes later, and Jackson made matters worse for West Ham in the 48th minute.

Jackson doubled his tally later on, in the 80th minute to make it 5-0, making it another “goal-difference” nightmare for Moyes’s men.

Chelsea moves up to 7th with that win, but may not be there for long as Manchester United plays on Monday, May 6. Man United will return to 7th place with a win over Crystal Palace in that game.
