Charly Boy encourages youths not to abandon fight against bad governance

In a bold move, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, a renowned singer and activist, has urged Nigerian youths to remain steadfast in their fight against bad governance. He made this call in an X post where he addressed the attempts to silence dissenting voices.

“A Season of Lies, Wayo, Deceit, Propaganda and the more you Look………..”

Charly Boy emphasized that those in power should embrace scrutiny and protest, rather than suppress it, if they are confident in their integrity. He stated, “If those in power are confident in their integrity, they should embrace scrutiny and protest, not suppress it. But when they resort to silencing dissenting voices and avoiding accountability, it’s clear they have secrets to hide.”

He further highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in governance, saying, “The ‘skeletons/cemeteries in their cupboard’ are a testament to their corruption and abuse of power. In a true democracy, governments must be transparent and answerable to the people. They should welcome criticism and engage in open dialogue, even when it’s uncomfortable.”

Charly Boy concluded his message by urging Nigerian youths to stand firm, saying, “Nigerian youths don’t ever back down. If dem no fear us, dey can never respect us. Nonsense. Dia fathers.” ‘

His words serve as a rallying cry for the youths to continue demanding accountability and transparency from their leaders.
