BREAKING: Organised Labour suspends strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, have suspended the nationwide strike for five days.
This is to allow the final negotiations with the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage to run smoothly.
This was confirmed by TUC chairman, Festus Osifo on Tuesday, June 4.
This is a result of the meeting Labour leaders had with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, and other government officials on Monday and resolved that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was committed to a new minimum wage higher than N60,000.
