Atiku’s son Adamu officially joins ADC after leaving PDP

Adamu Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Adamu, a former commissioner in Adamawa State, announced his resignation from the PDP on Thursday before completing his online registration with the ADC later the same day.
His move comes as his father is seeking to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the ADC.
In a post on X on Thursday night, Adamu called on his supporters and well-wishers to join him in the new party.
“I call on all my supporters and well-wishers to join me by registering with the ADC as we work together to advance the cause of good governance and national development,” he said.
