Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Umeh has alleged that her colleague, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, does not accept kissing or romantic roles in films.
Umeh made the claim during a recent episode of the Where Is The Lie podcast, attributing Chukwuka’s stance to her Catholic upbringing.
“Chioma Chukwuka was brought up in a very Catholic home. She doesn’t accept kissing or romantic roles in movies. I’m saying this out of experience. She was a legionary. She has been a good girl,” Umeh said.
However, contrary to her assertion, Chukwuka has featured in romantic roles in Nollywood productions. In the film Seven Doors, she shared an onscreen kiss with co-star Femi Adebayo.
Chukwuka, who has been in the Nigerian movie industry for over two decades, is regarded as one of Nollywood’s most versatile actresses, having starred in a wide range of roles across genres.
