RCCG City of David snubbed: Wigwes release burial programme

The family of the late Herbert Wigwe, the former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, has omitted Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David Parish from the funeral and interment service program scheduled for March 9.

The family, yesterday, announced a 6-day arrangement for his burial rites, alongside his wife Chizoba, and his son, Chizi.

According to the burial programme, the funeral ceremony of the Wigwes will begin at Eko Hotel with a celebration of the professional legacy of Wigwe in Lagos on March 4, and end on March 10 with an outing service at the RCCG Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Recall that earlier this month, Wigwe was involved in a chopper crash in the United States of America, a crash that took the lives of all passengers including himself, Chizoba and Chizi.

The former chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), Mr Abimbola Ogunbanjo, was also aboard the chopper.

The lives of Chizi and Chizoba will be celebrated in separate ceremonies scheduled for March 5 at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, then a night of tributes will be held a day later.

Similarly, a combined service of songs will be held on March 7 at the RCCG Resurrection Parish in Lekki, followed by a Christian wake-keep at Wigwe University, Isiokpo in Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State.
The combined funeral and private interment service are scheduled for March 9.
