Cab driver threatens legal action after Adunni Ade accuses him of theft

Francis Njoku, an Indrive cab driver, is considering legal action against actress Adunni Ade following accusations of package theft. The disagreement began when Njoku allegedly refused to deliver a package to Ade after concluding a ride.

On Wednesday, September 18, Ade took to Instagram to voice her frustrations, claiming, “@indrive.ng I have contacted you for hours but no response. One of your drivers has stolen my package. He ended the trip before getting to me and not picking up calls.” Her post sparked significant backlash, with many users expressing outrage towards the ride-hailing service.

In a follow-up, Ade revealed that Njoku eventually delivered her package after the company restricted his account. She shared screenshots of her conversations with Njoku and her fashion designer, who had sent the package.

In these messages, Njoku expressed his anger over Ade’s allegations, stating, “You have made nonsense of my image and I have contacted my legal team and we will see you in court. You must render an unreserved apology and ask Instablog to pull the post down.”

Responding to his threat, Ade maintained her stance: “One thing about me is I don’t lie nor cheat my fellow beings. When we speak of change, let it start with you. In my whole adult life of using logistic services, I have never encountered anyone as rude, ill-mannered, arrogant, uncivilized, and entitled as Francis Njoku.”
