NPFL: Katsina United to honor Maiduguri flood victims with minute’s silence

Katsina United has announced plans to observe a minute’s silence during their matchday two fixture in honor of the flood victims from Maiduguri.

The Chanji Boys shared this decision on their X account, stating, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Maiduguri due to the recent flood that displaced so many people in the state.”

They added, “As a result, we decided to sympathize with the affected by conducting a one-minute silence this weekend before the commencement of our match with Bendel Insurance.”

Katsina United is set to host Bendel Insurance at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium on Sunday, September 15.

According to DAILY POST, the flood has left thousands homeless and has led to the indefinite postponement of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match between El-Kanemi Warriors and Kwara United.
