2027: Jonathan can’t defeat Tinubu, says Bwala

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has boasted that former President Goodluck Jonathan can’t beat his principal in the 2027 elections.
Mr Bwala, a former campaign spokesman for the 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, stated this during an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday.
The presidential aide warned Mr Jonathan against listening to those asking him to contest in the next election, claiming that they are only trying to damage his reputation.
“I see that some unscrupulous elements are trying to hoodwink former President Goodluck Jonathan to come into politics.
“So that they can destroy his reputation, which, after he left government, he has been building by becoming an international figure globally,” he said.
He said even though Mr Jonathan is yet to officially declare his interest, he can’t defeat Mr Tinubu.
“But if President Jonathan decides to run, let me tell you, I have seen the political climate in Nigeria today, and I will speak to facts, not conjecture.
“There is not a single politician that has the capacity to knock off President Bola Tinubu,” he declared.
