YoungBoy Never Broke Again announces new album ahead of prison release

Rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again is set to release a new album, More Leaks, on March 7, just months before his scheduled release from prison on July 27.
The announcement came via the rapper’s team on Instagram on Friday (Feb. 28), confirming that More Leaks will be YoungBoy’s first project of 2025 and follows his December release, I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders. The post was captioned, “Last project before TOP is back,” referring to the rapper’s highly anticipated return. The album’s first single, “5 Night,” was also released on Friday.
YoungBoy (born Kentrell Gaulden) has been serving a 23-month prison sentence after pleading guilty in December 2023 to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His sentence followed a series of legal troubles, including a 2021 indictment for alleged gun possession and an April 2023 arrest tied to an alleged prescription fraud ring.
Before his incarceration, the Baton Rouge native had been on house arrest in Utah while awaiting trial. As part of his legal resolution, YoungBoy was also ordered to serve five years of probation and pay a $200,000 fine related to a separate gun charge in Utah.
YoungBoy’s legal team expressed optimism about his future, stating, “This has been a long road that involved extensive litigation and ultimately extensive negotiation. Kentrell’s defense team is very happy for Kentrell and we look forward to his many future successes.”
With More Leaks set to drop in March and his early release secured, fans eagerly await YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s return to the music scene.
