You can’t return bride price through transfer, I paid in person - Israel DMW

Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW,  has asked his estranged wife to not just return the full bride price he paid, but to do it the way he paid it: in person, Premium Times reports.

Israel DMW said this in an Instagram interview with Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze.

In the interview, Israel called for his estranged wife Sheila David, to return the full bride price he paid on the day of the bride price payment.

Israel claimed he spent a total of ₦2,000,000 in cash and items, on the day he paid David’s bride price. He also claimed he had done many cash favors for David’s mother.

The Edo-born socialite said he often gave David and her mother money for upkeep, with David’s pocket money being up to ₦500,000 sometimes.

David, has since refuted Israel DMW’s claims that she left the marriage because she was “fame-hungry”, saying that her parents are financially comfortable.

David said she walked away from the marriage because of domestic violence, and has not said anything else on the matter.

The couple got married in October 2022 in a wedding that showed Israel DMW clearly spared no expenses, but 13 months later, he announced in an Instagram post that David had gone to stay with her friend in Abuja after “flimsy excuses”.

In the same post, he said many things, including showing image receipts of two First Bank transfers to an ETAMESOR FAITH EFFA, who is assumed to be David’s mother.

Few people know what transpired between Israel DMW and his wife, but he certainly feels cheated. David, for her part, seems to be unbothered, as she posted an Instagram video of her with the friend referred to in Israel DMW’s post as Ginika, with the caption “Always remember that social media isn’t real life !!”.

Israel DMW also said his wife described his relationship with his boss (Davido) as demeaning and embarrassing.
