Wizkid premieres documentary at tribeca festival, publicly introduces youngest daughter

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid made headlines at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Friday as he premiered his documentary “Wizkid: Long Live Lagos” and publicly introduced his youngest daughter for the first time.

The Grammy-winning artist arrived at the red carpet alongside his longtime partner, Jada Pollock, and their daughter, drawing attention as he affectionately carried the toddler in matching white outfits. The moment marked the first public appearance of the couple with their child, who was born in October 2022.

The documentary, which premiered at the prestigious film festival, explores Wizkid’s journey from the streets of Lagos to international fame. It traces the artist’s rise to global stardom, culminating in his historic sold-out performance at London’s Tottenham Stadium.

“Wizkid: Long Live Lagos” features appearances from key figures in Wizkid’s personal and professional life, including Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, Jada Pollock, and Julie Adenuga. It positions the singer not just as a musical icon, but as a cultural ambassador representing the vibrant spirit of Lagos on the world stage.

The Tribeca Film Festival, held annually in New York City, celebrates innovation across film, music, games, and immersive storytelling. Wizkid’s presence, alongside his family, added a deeply personal layer to his celebration at the event.
