Taiwo Awoniyi has made a generous contribution of N2.5 million to the Flying Eagles as they prepare for their final match against Ghana at the WAFU B U-20 Championship.
This donation follows a similar gesture from his Super Eagles teammate, Wilfred Ndidi, who donated N2 million to the team last weekend.
Support for the Flying Eagles has been growing, with many well-meaning Nigerians stepping up to contribute after the team’s impressive performances in the tournament.
Under the leadership of Aliyu Zubairu, the team secured their place in the final by defeating Niger Republic 3-1 in the semi-finals on Sunday.
The Flying Eagles, who are the defending champions, will face the Black Satellites of Ghana in the final match on Wednesday.
