Victor Collins determined to become a regular in the Super Eagles squad
Nasarawa United defender, Victor Collins, is ready to fight for a spot in the Super Eagles starting lineup.
Collins is part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda. He is the only player from a local Nigerian club (home-based player) called up by coach Augustine Eguavoen.
During a training session in Abidjan on Tuesday, Collins expressed how proud he felt to be part of the team.
“It’s a privilege to be here. Imagine watching stars like Osimhen and Iwobi play in the Premier League and Turkish League, and now, I’m here with them as a teammate,” he said in an interview with Brila FM.
“It’s a great opportunity for me, and I know I have to work even harder. If I was giving 110% before, now I’m giving 150%. My goal is always to win and give my best. With God’s help, I’m here to stay.”
