Governor presents appropriation bill to state assembly
The Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has formally presented the 2026 appropriation bill to the Imo State House of Assembly in Owerri.
This legislative session, held at the newly renovated assembly complex, marked a significant milestone in the state’s fiscal planning for the upcoming year. The Governor christened the financial document as the “Budget of Economic Breakthrough,” signaling a shift from recovery toward massive industrial expansion.

Uzodimma emphasized that the proposal aims to stimulate the local economy and create sustainable jobs for the teeming youth population. He noted that the fiscal year 2026 will focus on completing all ongoing legacy projects across the three senatorial zones of the state.
The presentation was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and representatives of various civil society organizations. The Governor was received by the Speaker of the House, Chike Olemgbe, and other members of the state legislature. Strategic focus on infrastructure and power projects
