UPDATE: Pinnacle Oil filling fire was quickly extinguished, no casualties – Police
A fire broke out at the Pinnacle Filling Station on Agbani Road, Enugu, early on Friday morning, September 20, 2024. Fortunately, prompt action from federal and state fire services contained the blaze, ensuring there were no loss of life.
DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, noting that three vehicles waiting to refuel were damaged. Thanks to police intervention, order was quickly restored at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a fuel leakage from one of the vehicles may have sparked the fire. In response, Commissioner of Police Kanayo Uzuegbu has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will lead this investigation, ensuring a comprehensive review of the cause and measures to prevent future occurrences.
