Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are set to face Egypt in a double-header friendly as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The friendlies are scheduled to take place in Cairo on February 25 and February 27, 2025.
These matches will provide crucial experience for the team ahead of the main competition, which will be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
Head coach Aliyu Zubairu has already called up 30 players for the upcoming friendlies.
The U-20 AFCON will serve as a qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, with the top four teams securing spots to represent Africa in the global tournament, which will be held in Chile.
