Trump directs federal authorities to increase deportations in Democratic-led cities
On Sunday, June 15, US President Donald Trump ordered federal authorities to intensify deportation efforts in Democratic-led cities, reaffirming his hardline anti-immigration stance following widespread protests in Los Angeles.
“We must expand efforts to detain and deport illegal aliens in America’s largest cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where millions upon millions of illegal aliens reside,” Trump declared on his Truth Social platform.
He referred to these cities as the “core of the Democrat Power Center,” echoing debunked right-wing conspiracy theories claiming undocumented immigrants are significantly influencing US elections by voting illegally.
Deporting undocumented immigrants has been a central theme of Trump’s agenda for a potential second term, following his previous campaign rhetoric against what he called an “invasion” by criminals.
Recent raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency in Los Angeles sparked protests and civil unrest. In response, last week, Trump deployed 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to the city, despite objections from local and state officials.
California has since filed a lawsuit seeking to regain control over the National Guardsmen, arguing that Trump exceeded his authority. The case is currently pending in federal court.
In an extended post on Truth Social on Sunday, June 15, Trump accused “Radical Democrat Politicians” of subjecting ICE officers to “violence, harassment, and even threats” daily.
However, he affirmed, “nothing will stop us from executing our mission… ICE Officers are herewith ordered … to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”
Trump characterized the Democratic Party as “Radical Left Democrats” who “are sick of mind, hate our country, and actually want to destroy our inner cities — and they are doing a good job of it!”
He criticized Democrats for policies he disagrees with, including “Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports.”
That, he said, is why he wants ICE and other law enforcement agencies “to FOCUS on our crime ridden and deadly Inner Cities.”
In his usual fiery style, Trump likened migration into the United States to a form of “Mass Destruction,” claiming it has turned “once idyllic towns into scenes of Third World dystopia.”
He assured law enforcement agencies of his full support: “To ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, the Patriots at Pentagon and the State Department, you have my unwavering support. Now go, GET THE JOB DONE!”
