A trailer has plunged into the Muhammadu Buhari Interchange along Hotoro in Kano metropolis, causing panic among onlookers but resulting in no reported fatalities.
Eyewitnesses said the trailer was offloading goods and passengers when it suddenly tilted and fell into the underpass. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, drew a large crowd to the scene.
According to a witness, Khadija Isma’il Ahmad, the trailer had already fallen by the time she arrived. “Only the driver was injured on his face, but Alhamdulillah, it’s nothing serious,” she told DAILY POST.
The driver’s assistant, who also spoke to journalists, confirmed that the driver had gone to the hospital for treatment and was “doing fine.”
“When the vehicle started going down, there was nothing we could do. We were only watching. We pray Allah continues to protect us,” he said.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Kano State Fire Service or the police regarding the incident.
