Tiwa Savage calls out Wizkid FC for harrassment over song release

Tiwa Savage has publicly criticized Wizkid’s fanbase, Wizkid FC, after some members mocked her for releasing a song on the same day as Wizkid. The singer made the statement on November 15, 2024, following the release of her collaboration with Ruger, Toma Toma, which she shared on her Instagram page.

The post, in which she expressed excitement about the song, was met with a dismissive comment from a Wizkid FC member. The comment read, “Dey play, nothing special pass Wizzy hits,” which upset Tiwa Savage. In response, she called out the fanbase, stating, “Because I am promoting music? WTF…y’all are not fans anymore ooo you guys are actual bullies.”

This latest exchange is not the first time Wizkid FC has sparked controversy. The fanbase has been involved in previous online altercations with artists such as Skales, over his claims of writing songs for Wizkid during their time on Banky W’s EME label. Additionally, the fanbase frequently engages in online rivalries with Burna Boy and Davido fans over claims of who is the biggest Nigerian music star.

Tiwa Savage’s post highlights the growing tensions and toxic nature of fanbase rivalries within the Nigerian music industry.
