Thomas Partey officially charged with rape by Metropolitan Police

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been officially charged with multiple counts of rape and sexual assault by the Metropolitan Police Service, following an investigation into allegations dating back to 2021 and 2022.
In a statement issued on Friday, July 4, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed it had authorised the charges after reviewing a file of evidence submitted by police detectives.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man after a file of evidence was submitted by detectives.
The Met has issued a charge and requisition to Thomas Partey, 32 (born 13/06/1992), of Hertfordshire, in connection with the following offences:
– Five counts of rape
– One count of sexual assault.”
