On Friday, March 7, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State.
This meeting comes just a few days after Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, along with the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, also visited Buhari.
Buhari, who handed over power to President Tinubu on May 29, 2023, initially returned to his hometown of Daura in Katsina State after leaving office. However, in February 2025, Buhari moved permanently to Kaduna from Katsina.
The visit was made public by one of El-Rufai’s loyal supporters, @IU_Wakili, who shared the news on social media, saying, “Mallam Nasir El-Rufai paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his home in Kaduna today. Patiently waiting for somebody to call PMB irrelevant. The outcome of this meeting will decide if we are playing polo or not.”
