Super Eagles Ojo Olorunleke joins Ethiopian club Wolwalo

On Tuesday, March 11, Ojo Olorunleke, a super goalkeeper from Nigeria’s Super Eagles, made a big move to an Ethiopian team called Wolwalo Adigrat University. The 29-year-old signed up for a short adventure with the club.

Before this, Ojo’s time with a Sudanese club, Al Merrikh SC, ended, which let him join Wolwalo for free.

Right now, Wolwalo isn’t doing so great—they’re at the bottom of the Ethiopian League with just nine points after playing 19 games.

Ojo’s job will be to help them stop the other teams from scoring!

Ojo has some cool history: he was on Nigeria’s team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, and he also won the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with a team called Enyimba in 2023. What an exciting new chapter for him!
