On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader, Edwin Clark, was reported to have passed away at the age of 97. The news was confirmed by his family through a statement from Professor C. C. Clark.
The statement shared the sad news: “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, on Monday, 17th February 2025. The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family.”
This news came just three days after the death of Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the respected leader of Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, who was 96 years old.
