In a surprising move, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Chief Adolphus Wabara.
Sources say the suspension was carried out by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in Abia State. This decision came during a meeting led by the State Chairman, Abraham Amah.
Amah confirmed the suspension, saying, “Yes, it is true, he has been suspended. I will share more details soon.”
This action is seen as part of the ongoing power struggle between the supporters of Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the party’s former presidential candidate.
Wike’s ally, Okezie Ikpeazu, who is also a former governor, has a strong grip on the PDP in Abia State.
