Defender signs new one-year deal after solid debut season
Oluwatosin Demehin, Super Falcons centre-back, has signed a contract extension with Turkish women’s club Galatasaray, according to Daily Post.
The 23-year-old originally joined the Istanbul side on a free transfer in September 2024, signing a one-year deal. After a strong first season, the club has now extended her stay for another year.
Making moves in Turkey
Demehin made 26 appearances across all competitions last season and scored once, earning praise for her defensive presence and consistency on the pitch.
Fresh off WAFCON success
She was also part of Nigeria’s squad that won the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July — further cementing her status as one of the country’s rising football stars.
