Super Eagles set for Unity Cup showdown with Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago

On Wednesday, April 2, it was announced that Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago will compete in the upcoming “Unity Cup” invitational tournament, set to take place in London this May.
The tournament will kick off with Jamaica’s Reggae Boys taking on Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors in the first semi-final on Tuesday, May 27. The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face off against their West African rivals, Ghana, in the second semi-final on Wednesday, May 28.
The third-place match and the final will be held on Saturday, May 31, with the winning team lifting the coveted Unity Cup 2025.
In addition to the Unity Cup, Nigeria’s national team will also play a friendly match against Russia in June as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will see them face Rwanda and South Africa in September. The three-time African champions are gearing up for a challenging qualification campaign.
