Singer 2Face Idibia spotted with politician Natasha Osawaru after being declared missing
Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, who was recently declared missing by his family, has been spotted with his new love interest, Natasha Osawaru, at a hair store.
A video that surfaced online shows the pair shopping for hair products, marking the first public sighting of the singer since his family filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming his whereabouts were unknown.
Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, represents Egor Constituency under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). She was elected in April 2023 and hails from Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
Concerns about 2Face’s disappearance heightened after his mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia, released a video expressing disapproval of his relationship with Osawaru. She urged Natasha to release her son, stating that he was not in the right frame of mind due to his ongoing divorce proceedings.
The controversy follows a viral video in which 2Face was seen proposing to Natasha. The clip, which quickly drew criticism on social media, captured the couple dancing before the singer presented her with a ring, sealing the moment with a warm embrace.
Amid the backlash, 2Face addressed critics in an Instagram video, defending his relationship with Osawaru.
“Allegedly, I have seen so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted,” he said.
He further defended Natasha, saying, “Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”
