Rodri to miss the rest of the season to ACL injury

Man City midfielder Rodri will be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear during a match against Arsenal on Sunday, September 22.

Following tests on Monday, September 23, it was confirmed that Rodri injured his right knee. He only managed to play 21 minutes in the game, which ended in a 2-2 draw, after facing tough tackles from Kai Havertz and Thomas Partey.

Reports from ESPN suggest that Rodri will likely undergo surgery in Barcelona. This injury marks the longest absence of his career, as he has previously only missed eight matches for both his club and country.

Despite the draw, Manchester City remains at the top of the Premier League table with 13 points, while Arsenal sits in fourth place, unbeaten with 11 points.
