President Tinubu sets off for important visit to China
President Bola Tinubu is set to leave Abuja for Beijing, China, on Thursday, August 29, for a crucial diplomatic visit.
The Presidency announced on Tuesday, August 27, that President Tinubu’s trip will include stops at major Chinese companies like Huawei Technologies and the China Railway and Construction Corporation.
These meetings are aimed at speeding up the work on the Ibadan to Abuja part of the Lagos to Kano high-speed rail line, along with other important projects.
In a statement released on Thursday, August 29, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Ajuri Ngelale shared that President Tinubu will also have a short stopover in the United Arab Emirates.
The statement said: “President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja for Beijing, China, on Thursday, August 29, for an official visit.
“President Tinubu will have a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates.
“In China, the President will meet with President Xi Jinping and hold meetings with Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
“President Tinubu will be accompanied by senior government officials on the trip.”
