Odumodublvck fires back at critics, calls ‘Declan Rice’ most culturally impactful hip-hop song in Nigeria

Controversial hip-hop artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, known as Odumodublvck, has hit back at those criticizing his rap style, accusing them of being “intimidated” by his success.
In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, the rapper hailed his 2023 breakthrough hit, Declan Rice, as the most culturally significant Nigerian hip-hop track globally. The song gained international attention after Arsenal used it to announce the record-breaking signing of Declan Rice from West Ham in July 2023.
Odumodublvck claimed, “It is the biggest digital asset on Arsenal football club ever on social media. Check it.”
He added that aspiring rappers who try to emulate his style often face discouraging negative comments because of their intimidation. “Which hip-hop song has had more impact in the last 20 years? In the history of Nigerian hip-hop, no Nigerian song has had more impact in the world like Declan Rice,” he said.
Defending his talent, Odumodublvck insisted, “They said I’m not a rapper. That’s a fallacy. That’s ungrateful. And God will punish all of them.”
The rapper also highlighted his versatility, referencing collaborations like Good Devil Wells White with Larry G, where he delivered an “A1 verse” in multiple languages including English, Vernacular, and Patois.
