Remo Stars assistant coach Sulaiman Kamil has praised Tochukwu Michael for his brilliant free-kick that secured a 2-1 victory over Akwa United.
Michael scored the match-winning goal from a set piece, ensuring that Remo Stars took all three points in the game. Ibrahim Shuiab had earlier put Remo Stars ahead, while Osoba Kabir equalized for Akwa United.
“The goal by Tochukwu Michael was a very brilliant goal,” Kamil told Remo Stars media. “We needed a goal at that moment, and the free-kick from Tochukwu helped us to the win. He told me on the eve of the game that he needed to practice free kicks and that he would score from one in the game, which he made happen. That shows the quality he has in him.”
With this win, Remo Stars remain at the top of the NPFL table with 36 points.
