NPFL: Eguma expresses frustration over Enyimba’s goal-scoring struggles

On Sunday, March 10, Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, expressed concerns over his team’s ongoing difficulties in converting chances into goals in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Despite securing a 1-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors at the Enyimba International Stadium, Eguma admitted that the team’s poor finishing has been a significant issue.

“It’s a thing of worry. At this point in time, goals will really give us hope and motivation. If we had converted those chances, we could have played better than we did,” Eguma told BSN Sports.

He emphasized that defending a single goal for an entire match is a tough task. However, he noted that one positive takeaway was the fact that the team is creating chances, which indicates that their drills and tactics are working.

“The conversion rate has to increase so we can put away our chances,” Eguma added, underscoring the need for improvement in finishing to boost the team’s performance.
