NPFL: Akwa United insists on victory over Abia Warriors
On Friday, September 13, Akwa United’s technical adviser, Muhammad Babaganaru, emphasized that securing all three points in their upcoming match against Abia Warriors is essential.
Babaganaru stressed that his players are determined to improve their performance following a goalless draw in their opening fixture against Lobi Stars.
“The game against Abia Warriors will be our first home match of the season, and while we know it will be a tough contest, we are committed and prepared to fight for all three points because this is a must-win game for us,” Babaganaru told Akwa United’s media team.
He added, “We need to build on the one point we earned in Lafia by ensuring we win on Sunday.”
“As we start this season, we must leave no stone unturned and hit the ground running from the very beginning of the match. We have worked extensively with the team, and we trust that the players understand the importance of a strong start. We are optimistic that they will be in top form to deliver a great performance on Sunday.”
The match is scheduled to take place at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.
