Notorious Lagos drug kingpin, Temo, captured

After years on the run, Alhaji Sulaiman Jimoh (known to most as Temo), the 57-year-old head of the Mushin, Lagos drug cartel, has been arrested by NDLEA operatives.

Temo, known for evading arrest and engaging in gunfights, was caught at his hideout in Lagos after a resistance from him and his gang.

NDLEA had previously seized large consignments of illicit drugs worth billions of naira linked to Temo, including 14,524.8kg of Ghana Loud (cannabis sativa) in January 2024; 8,852kg of Loud in May 2023; and 252kg of Loud in July 2023

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, commended the officers involved and urged them to intensify efforts against drug cartels, stating, “We’re just steps away from their doorsteps, and they can only run, they can’t hide forever.”
