Nigerian forward dies in Cyprus car crash

Nigerian forward Paul Julius has tragically passed away in a car accident in Cyprus. The 20-year-old was involved in a head-on collision on the Paralimni-Protaras road.

Julius had recently joined Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimniou just three weeks ago, coming from the Egyptian team El Gaish.

Enosis Neon Paralimniou announced his death on their official website, expressing their deep sorrow over the loss.

The club’s statement read: “It is with deep sadness and pain that we express our sincere condolences on the unexpected loss of our footballer Paul Julius. The tragic news of his death has shocked us all. Despite the hardships and sufferings he faced to join our family, he remained steadfast and determined to fulfill his goals.

“His memory will live on in our minds and his absence will be felt. We are with his family and his loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.”
